EPRA Sustainability

Performance Measures

In October 2016, Vonovia published its first Sustainability Report on the 2015 fiscal year. Vonovia prepared its Sustainability Report in line with the G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the leading standard for sustainability reporting, as well as the Best Practice Recommendations on Sustainability Reporting (sBPR).

In line with the Best Practice Recommendations on Sustainability Reporting, Vonovia reported key figures, insofar as this was possible at the time, on energy, water, waste and key emissions figures relating to its own administrative buildings and part of the communal areas in its portfolio.

At the time the report was drawn up, it was not possible to report on tenant consumption or key consumption figures on a like-for-like basis. Vonovia plans to further develop its sustainability reporting on an ongoing basis over the next few years, also expanding the key sustainability figures further.

Explanatory information on the key figures set out below and the management approaches can be found in the 2015 Sustainability Report on pages 58–60 and 72–73.

At the time the 2016 Annual Report was published, the key energy consumption and CO₂ figures for the 2016 fiscal year were not yet available. These will be published in the 2016 Sustainability Report, which will be published at the end of June 2017.
